The Skate Mind Project, Featured on NPR’s All Things Considered

We’re so excited to share that The Skate Mind Project was recently featured on NPR’s All Things Considered by Isabella Gomez Sarmiento! It’s an amazing opportunity to highlight the work we’re doing to combine mental health awareness with skateboarding in NYC.

At its core, skateboarding is about community, resilience, and self-expression, which is why we believe it’s the perfect platform to make mental health resources more accessible. We’re incredibly lucky to collaborate with inspiring partners like Rosa Chang, co-founder and president of @gothamparknyc, the crew at @unclefunkysboards, and the @nyc_skate_coalition. Together, we’re working to turn skate parks, shops, and communities into welcoming spaces for mental health support.

Being featured on NPR is a huge milestone for us, and it’s giving us even more energy to keep growing. We’re looking forward to expanding our training programs to reach more skate spaces and communities. The goal is simple: to create a movement where skateboarding and mental health go hand in hand.

We’re so grateful to NPR for shining a light on this mission and can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
